The event will also benefit Niles Family Services, the social services department of the Village of Niles.

Donate to Help Our Veterans! 9.9.23
They gave up so much for us. Now it’s our turn to return thanks.
Join Niles United and Niles Memorial VFW Post 3579 as we collect move-in essentials to assist our veterans. Although most veterans re-enter civilian life successfully and go on to lead productive lives, on any given night the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) estimates that 40,056 veterans are homeless. When a veteran leaves a shelter or transitional housing and moves to a permanent residence, they often do not have the things needed to set up a new home. Aside from the obvious bedding and furniture, they need the basic items we often take for granted!
MAIN COLLECTION TIME / DATE: 9am – 1pm, Saturday, September 9th. Niles Memorial VFW, 7255 N. Caldwell Ave., Niles.
Niles United volunteers will be present to assist in unloading items from your car on that date!
If you are unable to drop off your donations on the main collection date, you may bring them into the Niles VFW between 4pm and 6pm, Tuesday, Sept. 5th through Saturday, Sept. 9th
Your participation in this collection drive is greatly appreciated!
